A group of South African skeptics have put together a Stop Danie Krugel site, with the aim of informing more people about the suspicious nature of Krugel’s claims, and to correct several common mistakes made by the media when reporting on Krugel.
The site has a Support Us page, where skeptics can add their names to a growing list of people who doubt Krugel’s claims, or wish to see the promotion of his services cease until proper scientific investigagtion of his claims.
I strongly urge all skeptics and rational thinkers out there to visit the site, and add their names to the list. As pointed out in several of the case discussions on the site, Krugel’s involvement in missing persons cases can potentially delay a proper investigation with disastrous effects, and his promotion in the media (and by himself), should cease until his claims have been scientifically validated (or debunked).
Overview
Danie Krugel claims to use a machine that contradicts all known relevant laws of physics, has never been scientifically tested and is considered by experts and scientific skeptics all over the world to be at best people just fooling themselves, but most likely a hoax.
With each television appearance and media report about Danie and his machine, my feelings of outraged disbelief have just gotten stronger and stronger, to the point where I actually created this blog with the almost express purpose of sharing my reasons with anyone willing to read them. His so-called ‘Matter Orientation System’ is so obviously voodoo science, and the continued inability or unwillingness of the South African media to see this, has somehow managed to upset me more than usual. We have enough problems in this beautiful country without someone going about misleading the general public about science, and the media giving him any more time than they would some crackpot claiming he can see the future in his toenail clippings. Even worse, when he claims to use his voodoo invention to track missing people and solve crimes – the very issues where we need all the real help we can get.

Brilliant resource – thanks for sharing all the work that must have gone into this great list/reference. Nice to see someone putting serious debunking effort into this kind of bad science and scamming. I found this page via the South African skeptics forums and linked back to you from my blog.
Much appreciated.
I enjoy reading your blog, and support your efforts to expose Danir Krugel. I followed the story of Dirk Booysen on the AvCom forum as it was happening and was angry when I heard Danie had gotten involved. I can understand why people become desperate and will try anything to to find their loved ones. Anyway, I went back to the thread and picked out some interesting links for you.

[...] The fact of the matter is that we have moved on since then. Subatomic particles are neither particles nor waves, but something else. The paradox resulted because scientists were designing experiments that could only look for one or the other. That realization, followed by several decades of theoretical work verified by more advanced laboratory equipment and techniques, has invalidated the ‘consciousness causes collapse’ theory. Unfortunately, it’s not quite as sensational, and so the popular media, voodoo scientists and their proponents still cling to it for dear life. It lends false scientific credence to the claims of people like Deepak Chopra, Rhonda Byrne and even Danie Krugel. [...]
